William Partridge correspondence, 1703 April 2-April 8.

Letter dated "Portsmo[uth] 8th Aprill 1703" from Wm Partridg, Lt Govr to Sam[ue]ll Penhallow and Theodore Atkinson directing them to go to Awassawamkik [Seven Hundred Acre Island?] to meet with Mons. Gaulin concerning supplies for Indians. Letter dated "Portsmo[uth] in the Province of New Hampshire Aprill 8th 1703" by Wm Patridge, Lt Govr Province New Hampshire is a contemporary copy of the letter Partridge sent to Mons. Gaulin. Last letter dated "Portsmo[uth] Aprill 2 1703" is account by Samuel Penhallow of their trip including trade with Indians in Maine and tensions between New Englanders and French and Indians at the outbreak of Queen Anne's War.
